TCM INPUT DEVICES : Cruise control unit delivers an input signal to control overdrive operation in accordance with vehicle speed when cruise control is operating. Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor ECT sensor delivers input signal to TCM, indicating engine coolant temperature.
The TCM controls transmission shifting by delivering an output signal to operate proper shift solenoid. Shift solenoids are located on transmission valve body. RETRIEVING TROUBLE CODES : Before retrieving trouble codes, ensure battery is fully charged for proper self-diagnostic system operation.
