With the ignition switch ON and the engine OFF, the current service reminder can be scanned at any time by briefly holding the “Reset button for trip odometer”, located on the right side of the instrument cluster. The service maintenance program needs to be reset to zero at all maintenances and readapted to 10,000 miles / 16,000 kilometers at the 10,000 mile service, as described in table below, using Self-Diagnosis mode of the VAS 5051 / VAS 5052 Diagnostic and Information tool.
From the Start menu, select “Vehicle Self Diagnosis”. Vehicle Self-Diagnosis 10 – Adaption 17 – Dash panel insert Component part number Component description Coding 103 Save channel 42 Value 50 saved, Similar screen appears (example: value 50 = 5,000 mi saved -white arrow-)
